Despite the various challenges facing our community this semester, we have been hearing your concerns since the beginning and would like to share with the community some general updates regarding the situation.
– To ensure that vans from DT respect the allocated timeslots, a security guard will be appointed next to the bus shelter and in charge of immediately reporting to the GM department any issues that may occur such as vans leaving before the designated time or not stopping in DT.
– As temperature decreases in the city, we have discussed the dorm room heating with the GM department. In general, heaters are turned on when the temperature drops below 14 degrees in the morning or 7 degrees at night. However, we are working on launching the heating process by the end of this week, and expect for heaters to be functioning by next week regardless of the temperature.
– The Wi-Fi issue is a concern that we have communicated to the ITS. They are currently working on widening the coverage and increasing bandwidth within the city campus.
Additionally, a final solution has been reached with the administration about the CIP matter which will be communicated soon. We are also aware of the long queues in dining facilities and are working on solutions that will be implemented for the remainder of this semester.
